Pupils at Gorsey Bank Primary School were delighted to hand over their toy donations to The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) today, in plenty of time for Christmas.
Children at the school have been busy over the past few weeks filling shoe boxes with new toys, and decorating them with festive designs, ready for a seasonal delivery to the farm.
The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust is Gorsey Bank’s chosen charity for the year and provides support and respite for children who are terminally ill, disabled or disadvantaged.
Set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, it provides opportunities for children of all ages and abilities in activities such as art, music and gardening and also includes an adventure play area, sensory rooms, soft play and, of course, the much-loved farm animals.
All children visiting CAFT this December will receive a Christmas gift and the toys donated by pupils at Gorsey Bank are certain to put a smile on the faces of a number of young visitors.

“It’s been wonderful to see the donations flooding in and I’m very proud of how hard the children have worked on decorating the shoe boxes to make them look as special as possible. Supporting the wider community is really important to us at Gorsey Bank and it’s been great to welcome Hannah from CAFT to school to receive the donations and talk to us about why they are so important.”
Hannah Grahame from CAFT visited the school on Friday to collect the shoe boxes and delivered an assembly to pupils to thank them and provide them with an update on the farm.
