As we close our doors for the summer holidays, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on a fabulous year at Gorsey Bank Primary School (GBPS).

From academic achievements to unforgettable experiences, our pupils have truly made the most of every opportunity.

Here are just some of the highlights that made our year!

Tom Percival Visit

At the start of the year, Tom Percival came to visit. He is an author of many children’s books such as ‘The River’, ‘Perfectly Norman’ and ‘Ruby’s Worry’.

Chinese New Year

In February, the pupils learnt all about Chinese New Year and dressed up accordingly. This year is the year of the Dragon which symbolises strength, courage and good fortune.

Eid Celebrations

The children were treated to two assemblies led by some of our Muslim children and parents who shared some of their own experiences of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan and the subsequent Eid celebrations.

We also had a fabulous day today celebrating Islamic arts and crafts as well as partaking in our own Eid celebration lunch!
